Every run goes somewhere else

There's no fixed route. From Polyterrasse, 5–7 km gets you down to the lake, along the Limmat, through the old town or up the Zürichberg. Below are six example loops on real terrain; the route for each run is in the Strava event.

Warm up, then run 5–7 km

We start with a warm-up together, about 10 minutes, so nobody starts cold.

Two pace groups, a faster and an easier one. Pick yours at the start.

Not sure? Drag the cup to the pace you'd run on an easy day.

Two founders and a crew of pacers who make sure nobody runs alone, whatever the pace. And the most important bib on the list is still free.

    Special editions

Some runs end somewhere else: a street festival, a café, a trail weekend. Specials are announced on Instagram and Strava first.

    Let's run something together

We bring a crew of runners who love trying new places and talk about them. You bring the place, the product or the idea. Everything you see under Special editions started with a message like yours.

      The table after the run

Started in 2024 by two students, now 3,506 runners on Strava. The friendships happen over coffee and drinks, the photos end up on Instagram.

      Good to know

Do I have to be fast?
No. On Tuesdays there are two pace groups, around 5'45 and 6'30 per kilometre. Fridays are a chatty 6'30 or slower. Not sure? Try the pace check.
      Can I come alone?
Yes. CoffeeRun is about meeting new people, having fun, getting the miles in and grabbing coffee.
Do I need to sign up?
Join the CoffeeRun club on Strava and RSVP to the event. For the weekly runs that helps us plan; for specials it's required.
      What does it cost?
Running with us is free. Coffee and drinks afterwards are your own.
      Rain, cold, dark. Still on?
Yes, all year. The forecast for each start is on the board above. Any change is in the Strava event and our Instagram stories.
Can I swim after the Tuesday run?
In summer we often end with a dip in the Limmat. Only use official entries and exits like Oberer Letten, and stay out when the river is high.

      Still got a question?

Ask us anything about the runs, the pace or your first time. For a quick answer, a DM on Instagram is usually fastest.
